Name: Warrior's Path
This season of my life has been one of the most trying. There are days when you feel you're doing everything right, yet nothing seems to give. We're told to hope and wait upon the Lord - but sometimes, even waiting is hard.
This painting is inspired by the women who are strong...those who pick up their sword every day and march forward, even when they don't know what awaits them.
Lately I had been drawn to eagles. I painted quite a few small studies and had wanted to incorporate one into a larger piece for over a year. It kept calling me back to the verse below.
"...but they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary, and they shall walk and not faint."
This painting is dedicated to you, warrior women. Those who pick up the sword of truth and keep striving, keep marching forward no matter what.
My prayer is that this painting brings you hope and a renewed strength in your purpose with the Lord.
